As the saying goes...

...you can tell the age of the boy by the size of his toys. With no inuendo intended, let me explain.

When you are in college full-time, working on campus for not much cash, and contemplating paying for your own health and car insurance, housing, and school loans in a matter of a few short months, you begin looking for ways to get cash fast. We've already explained to Web that there is no such thing as a viable "get rich quick" scheme. If you want something, you work to get it. Unless your mom is handy at eBay, then she works!

Pictured on the left is just one of the hundreds of items in the 47 boxes and suitcases in just one of our three attics full of Web's lifetime of playthings. Some of you will know the name of this childhood pal. I'll give a prize to the one of you who first names it in a comment. Anyway, when a college student wants a title transfer and insurance on yet another two-wheeled vehicle to get around on campus (pictured on the right), he has his mother sell things on eBay for him like a Brio train set, several football jerseys, a Muppet keyboard and more! Legos by the pound bring in good bucks, and if you have little Lego guys, those are even better! Unfortunately, there are no Barbie shoes in his stash- ten pairs of those can snag $20 or so. Anyway, thanks for all of the gifts you've given Web for the past 22 years. They'll be re-gifted in a sense- right back to him again!

Advice to those of you young enough to do something about it:
A. Be sure to start saving for your childrens' college educations now.
B. In the event that you fail at A, be sure to have saved all the boxes the toys came in; they're worth much more that way!

Ah, dear Gerald! Who could forget the time Gerald was at our house, got a touch of the flu, and Web had to hold him over the kitchen sink so he could puke!

Rest assured that Gerald will not end up on eBay. I was actually thinking about giving him as the prize to the one who answered first!

He'd be an honored guest in the Boyle menagerie of beloved inanimate animals. Gerald can visit anytime and we'd help him stay clear of the flu!
